CPI(M) Congratulates China
14/01/2009
The CPI(M) general secretary Harkishan Singh Surjeet has sent the following congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on October 17, 2003:
THE Communist Party of India (Marxist) warmly congratulates you and through you the Chinese people on the first successful launching of “Yuhang Yuan”, or the space traveller.
This successful launch demonstrates the rapid strides made by the People’s Republic of China in the field of space technology. The long term and the short term goals of the space programme have been publicly released, making it clear that these developments are intended for peaceful purposes.
Once again, please accept our congratulations and convey the same to astronaut Yang Liwel and all those who have made the programme successful.
